The fact that's it's on the bookshop window may mean I don't strictly qualify but...
...this may be my only chance to say I've had a solo show at the Tate Modern.
I wasn't sure whether to post the next photo: perhaps I always look slightly deranged while drawing but I did get up at 5am and start work at 8...
...which did mean I got to work alone in the empty echoing Turbine Hall before the gallery opened...
Tomorrow: who I drew (maybe it was you!)...

This is so cool! It must be quite a thrill painting in the Tate Modern. I'm new to your work and I love your style.
I paint the glass door of a toy store (brooklyn,ny)each month and I'm curious about the type of pen you're using in your photo here? You seem to have such control.
I look forward to seeing your figures! wish I'd sent a pic myself.

That DEFINITELY counts as a solo show at Tate Modern! Looking forward to seeing it in person next week.

You don't look deranged. Just intent. And you have great hair. Which is a feat, especially at that hour of the day.

Not SO great as the hair I had for the Shakespeare & Company thing I did a few weeks ago which was set by a French hairdresser. In concrete. She actually put me in curlers which I'm not sure is something that's ever happened before. I now wish for the return of the weekly shampoo & set as an acceptable social practice.
And - thanks! - and - I use Poscas. They're semi-permanent. A bit like the hairdo.

Congratulations on your chance of working at the Tate! I like the style of your illustrations, which is unique also because you seem to have the focus on filling the given space to its limit - I like that idea. Good luck at the Tate!
