It's growing...
...which was one of the ideas I wanted to put in the drawing. At Sobell I noticed...
...how the outdoors continued indoors into floral curtains, flower arrangements, wood or laminate flooring and furniture just as...
...the inside of the bodies of patients are somehow extended into tubes and machines, and our...
...concept of what is 'right' and 'natural' in a death trembles.
I'll be at the Wellcome Collection drawing live tomorrow.

That's amazing! I hope to catch your finished work at some point before it's taken down.

It's beautiful. Really beautiful. And I say that advisedly, as someone who has worked with adults near the end of life. I've had patients die before I could make it to their next scheduled treatment. Aging and death are as much a part of the life cycle as birth and youth and should be valued as such. The tiny details that are so much a part of geriatric patients' lives are honored in your work. It is a beautiful thing.

Thanks so much - I couldn't have a better endorsement. I wish you could be here to see it finished (I know you're in the US) and, Sakura, I hope you can.
