Did I really say that?
This week you can listen to Badaude Radio.
Deutsche Welle interviewed me on places I like in Paris (there's a link at the bottom of their page where you can hear it on repeat) and I found out that people who sit at home in their studios all day (writers? illustrators?) are not quite so snappy when it comes to the soundbite.
Let's say I gave the editors a tough job.
And DO I REALLY SOUND LIKE THAT? I'm fairly used to the idea that I don't look like the model/actress/whatever who plays me in the little ego-directed movie in my head, but it's a shock to hear I am so far from sounding like her either. I tried 'Carla Bruni' but, as head-of-state's consorts go, it all came out a bit Camilla Parker-Bowles...

How fun!! I cannot listen until I get high speed internet again( that won't be until Wednesday). I will be back to listen. Can't wait to hear your Paris picks.
And, I am sure your voice is not as bad as you think. Camilla and Carla have a lot in common. They are both married to powerful men and they...um, well they are both women.;-)

What was the name of the canteen style restaurant with the 14 euro lunch? Sorry my listening French is not quite up to snuff! (And doesn't everyone hate the sound of their own voice?)

Nor do I! Oh, I sound sooo different (to me) when I write.
Anne, the name of the cool resto with the bargain lunch is Le Chateaubriand. If you want details, I drew it on Badaude last year, so just type Chateaubriand into the search engine at the top right hand side and it should appear. It's been frequented by everyone from Gerard Depardieu down and they've all signed their names on the blackboard in the corner. I don't think the lunch menu offers a choice, but the food's so delicious this hardly matters. And if you don't like the food, the waiters are very tasty...
Belette: 'Allegedly' is all I have to add.
