Happy, new...
...laid-back new year.
The French have a tradition of sending Cartes de Voeux, or New Year Cards, during January, which is certainly helpful if you haven't got round to getting everything out by Christmas.
This year, Bonapart Consulting and Ivy Paris commissioned me to create this card from one of my illustrations.
Just before the New Year turns February, I still have time to send you all my best wishes for 2008...

So do I (all the time, I mean. It can be erratic. You should see the tax return I just filed - I don't know why the UK government makes you file them in January - the horror of reviewing your year's finances, combined with the weather, must be too much for some people...).

And all my best wishes to you in 2008 too! Thank you for your nice notes on my blog recently.
I know this year ahead is going to be hectic but also exciting; I just hope I'm going to be able to handle it all!

That's such a good idea! I look forward especially to everyone breaking out into 'Happy November' - it would take the pressure off Christmas and spread joy just when the year thinks we've all given up on it.
