A late postcard from really the most beautiful beach in Devon. Not that I could see much of it on August Bank Holiday Monday, but I'm always happy to watch the people instead...
Eat organic at the Venus Cafe, right on the beach and maybe buy some MORE beach equipement from the really grumpy man in the car-park shop.

What an amusing perspective on beach life. Out here in sunny San Diego, we are all recovering from our Labor Day weekend, and I did indeed spot copies of the Da Vinci Code here and there on the sand. We aren't quite so proficient at setting up little walled off camp spots though. We prefer oddly-shaped collapsible tents from LL Bean and Patagonia, or huge blue plastic tarps spread over poles on the open plan. Oh, and every other sunworshipper here is usually talking on a cell phone, trying to guide a party of lost friends to the right spot. Thanks for the picture! RF
